One of Wickes' own, Lakyn Garrison, became the first Warrior to play Division 1 sports by becoming an Oklahoma State Cowgirl. Some of Lakyn's accomplishments are:
- State Tournament MVP
- All-State: 4 years
- While attending Carl Albert, Lakyn broke the national NJCAA single-game record with 23 field goals on 26 attempts against Western Oklahoma State.

Another one of Wickes' very own, Trad Williams, son of Coach Damon Williams, has had a very succesful basketball career. Trad was a four year starter for Central Baptist College. He has been offered a contract to play professionally in Spain. Just a few of Trad's accomplishments are:
- Leader in 3 pointers made at Central Baptist College (CBC)
- All-time leader in 3 pt.percentage.
- Most 3 pointers made in a game(11)
- Broke the national record for 3 pointers(147) in a season
- 4th All-time scoring(1,450)
- Leader in 3 pt.percentage in the nation(50.2%)
